Keystrokes for cnc parameters - system, param, oprt, soft over arrow if required, punch, exec should be fairly simple once you punch one out. If you have that data backed up you can bring it back from a complete reset/ ram parity alarm. For pitch error, tool offsets, or work offsets you have to navigate to be viewing the item you wish to punch. In punching a program you have to key what program by o number. Punching the pmc data gets a bit more complex - can do it but can't type the button names without having one to look at and I am out of the shop for a day or 2.īasically you go where you want to go, (oprt), soft over arrow, read/ punch, exec. The procedure to punch a program and punching parameters/ tool off sets/ work offsets/ and pitch error are similar ( dependent on ultimate machine application and integration). There is a pcmia card to usb reader for easier access in a desktop pc. Ideally the pcmia is at the front of the machine near the display but sometimes its on the main rack in the electrical cabinet. Almost as easy as using a usb drive in windows. You'll need a type 1 card holder, a 2 gb pcmia/ sd card ( some controls won't recognize larger cards as I understand it ), and its fatser than rs 232 serial connections. Most i series controls ( all I have seen ) have pcmia slots.
